FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Koit, the app, privacy, trusted friends, and organizing dates.
About Koit
Product category, purpose, and basic boundaries.
Is Koit a dating app?
Yes. Koit is a dating app, but it is not a matching app. You meet people elsewhere; Koit helps you organize people, dates, friends, and important details.
What is a dating CRM?
A dating CRM is a contact and date manager built for your real dating life — not for matching. Koit helps you keep notes, reminders, date history, and context about the people you are getting to know. Think of it as a personal organizer for your dating life.
What data can I keep in Koit?
You can keep notes about people, date plans, past date history, photos, spending, important dates like birthdays, preferences, reminders, and trusted friend settings. Everything is written or imported by you — Koit does not read your messages or contacts automatically.
Is Koit only for single people?
No. Koit is for anyone navigating dating life. Whether you are actively dating, casually meeting people, or in the early stages of a relationship, Koit helps you stay organized, prepared, and intentional.
Does Koit show other people's profiles?
No. There is no public profile browsing, social feed, or stranger discovery. Approved trusted friends may see certain details only with the user's permission.
Does Koit read my conversations?
No. Koit does not read WhatsApp, messages, or conversations. Notes, contacts, and details are recorded or imported by the user's choice.
Account and access
Account creation, age rules, and deletion.
Who can use Koit?
Koit is intended only for people who are 18 or older. The platform has zero tolerance for use by minors.
What information is required to create an account?
Registration may require name, email, phone number, password, and age confirmation. Use a strong password and keep your credentials safe.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. With the app installed, go to settings and request account deletion. You have up to 30 days to revoke the request. Without app access, email support@koitapp.com from the account email.
Privacy and data
How Koit handles your data, privacy, and app security.
How does privacy work in Koit?
You control what goes into Koit. You choose what notes to add, which contacts to import, and what dates to share. Koit does not read your messages, scan your photos, or share your data with other users. PIN/biometric lock helps protect the app on your device.
How does Koit protect my data?
Koit uses safety measures such as MFA for logins and PIN/biometric app lock. For legal details, refer to the Privacy Policy.
Does Koit show ads?
Yes, Koit may show ads or clearly identified sponsored content. Ads help cover operational costs, and details are available in the Privacy Policy.
Trusted friends and safety
Ways to share important information with people you choose.
What are Trusted Friends?
Trusted Friends are people you personally choose to share date details with inside Koit. They can see the date context you share — where, when, and who you are meeting — and receive your check-in and check-out updates. You control who is a trusted friend and which dates they can see.
Can trusted friends see every date?
No. You choose which dates to share on a per-date basis. Dates you do not share remain completely private. Trusted Friends only see what you explicitly allow.
Does Koit guarantee safety?
No. Koit supports safer dating habits through preparation, shared context, and trusted people. It is not an emergency service and does not guarantee any outcome. Always use your judgment and contact emergency services when needed.
Why add a trusted friend?
So someone you trust can follow your dates, see check-ins and checkouts, receive wellbeing updates, and have important information if you need support.
How does Koit help before a date?
It brings notes, reminders, and important details together so you can review them quickly before seeing someone again.
Subscriptions and billing
Short answers about payments and cancellation.
Can I cancel a paid subscription?
Yes. Cancellation stops future charges. Paid benefits may continue until the end of the already purchased period, according to the Terms of Use.
Rules, support, and responsibility
User responsibility and possible account measures.
Is Koit responsible for interactions outside the app?
No. Users remain responsible for managing risks and decisions in interactions that happen outside Koit.
What happens if I violate the Terms?
The account may be suspended or deleted, depending on the severity of the violation and applicable rules.
